Parroting Classes
Parroting Classes are great for some who is:
A first time caged bird owner
Looking to enhance their relationship with their parrot
Interested in learning how to increase their birds quality of life
Willing to take that next step in training
Hoping to reduce stress
Wanting to reduce boredom
Striving to eliminate unwanted behaviors
1-day Beginner, Advanced, or Target Behavior Classes are only 60-90 minutes long!
Classes held in the comfort of my large home!

Beginniner Parroting Classes Details:
Beginner Classes Target:
- Health Care and Socialization
- Local Avian Vets
- Wing and Nail Trimming
- Appropriate Restraint Techniques
- Training to Stepping-up: Fingers and Sticks
- Bathing
What you'll need:
- Parrot in carrier
- Favorite towel, large enough to hold bird
- Sharp Scissors (sewing scissors are great! Sorry, not cuticle)
- Birds Favorite Treat (bite sized)
- Wooden Perch (Not cement)
- Small spray bottle with water

Birdie Musts:
In order for a bird to be able to enroll in the Advanced Classes, it must be able to:
- Step up on command to a hand
- Have its wings appropriately trimmed
Targeting Problem Behaviors Classes Details:
Targeting Problem Behaviors for Non-ill and Parasite Free Birds Targets:
- Boredom and Stress
- Quiet Time Activities
- Training To Play
- Feather Plucking
- Home Destruction
- Staying Off Shoulder
- Nipping/Biting
What you'll need:
- Parrot in carrier
- Favorite towel, large/thick enough for bird to roll around on
- Birds Favorite Treat
Birdie Musts:
In order for a bird to be able to enroll in the Targeting Problem Behaviors Classes, it must:
- Have its wings appropriately trimmed
These classes are not intended to replace vet visits. The trainer is not allowed to diagnosis illness and diseases. ALL birds are expected
to be in good health for all classes, and free of parasites, diseases, and illness!
Proceeds will help rescued birds right here in Chicagoland to receive food, housing, toys, treats, love, and appropriate veterinary care!
All classes are taught by Lisa, who has owned birds her whole life and is currently
owned by several parrots including a cockatoo, gray, and a macaw. She has been
working with troubled parrots since 2002 and placed almost 200 in homes!
